2006, Be the best year yet!
Hmmm, this shall be my very FIRST entry in 2006!
Everyone's doing reflections, resolutions, blah all those crap. Oops, i mean, reminiscing about the past year. But i shall not, cause i live life in the present. I shall take things day by day, one bit at a time and enjoy every single moment.
Oh, yesterday was such a bore. I spent New Year's Eve at home, watching TV. But i really cant be bothered squeezing with the crowd, especially Orchard where all the groping begins.. hahah..
I was really bored cause everyone's not at home. Memo was atttending some dancing party and my sister was counting down too, leaving me the only one at home! Can you belive it! Oh pepsi was at home too.
Anyway before watching tv, i was aactually having piano lesson. Oh my gawd, ben, you're so loser, i dont want to making friends with you. I cant believe how annoying i was yesterday to myself.
I really hate piano lessons. Maybe not that serious, but i just dont like piano lessons.
I remember the first day when my piano teacher asked me why did i resume lessons, i merely told her cause i have a piano at home. And it is the case what, putting the piano lying around uselessly is really such a waste so i might as well take it up again, right?
but i really really suck at piano, totally. I only practise an hour before the lesson every week, so what can u expect leh.
Ok, the main point of blogging about piano is because i cant stand my teacher. She's a typical 30+ small built short hair woman with 2 kids. No doubt she's patient and pleasant but a few more lessons with her and you will see all the obasan void deck aunty qualities showing.
She is one chaojiwudi kpo kia(must read it fast and irritatingly) i tell you.
And can i add, kiasu also. her son is like primary 1 and the way she's preparing him makes me think as though he is preparing for A levels . That day she was asking me about some secondary school matters and i almost puked when she told me her son is primary one.
What's up with singaporean parents nowdays?
Anyway, back to her kpo kia trait.
She has this habit of digging into your personal life, family life, school life and making unnecessary comments which is very pissful. (no such word, pls dont use in compo, but you get what i mean?) For easy reference, we shall call her Pissful Piano. It illiterates even.
Scenario 1
In midst of having lesson, my father came home.
Pissful Piano: Eh, you never greet your father one arh? You not very close to ur father hor? Brilliant BenJ: Er, not really cause he's always working.
I mean, what do you expect me to say leh?! I never met people so kpo to ask me such questions before. Just because i never greet my father, doesnt mean anything! Not every household is like ur household, pissful piano. And ur son greets ur husband cause he's only 7, i'm a decade older, see if ur son still abides to ur nonsense when he's my age.
Pissful Piano: Very weird leh, my son very close to his father one leh.
Shut up, pissful piano. Who cares if ur son is close to his father.
But as i was hoping pissful piano can stop her nonsense and continue the lesson, i was wrong.
Pissful Piano: I also feel that u are closer to ur eldest sister than ur second sister. Brilliant benJ: Erm no lah, you got see my eldest sister before meh?
PRECISELY! SHE GOT SEE MY ELDEST SISTER BEFORE MEH? NO! She never even communicated with either of my sisters before and she got the audacity to say such rubbish, baseless rubbish! I hate people who make baseless assumption.
Pissful Piano: No lah, but i just got this feeling.
What can i say? So i just gave her patronising smile coupled with a nod.
But pissful piano doesnt accept such response cause remember, she's a kpo kia. So she kept looking at me kpoly, still expecting an answer, which is truly pissful.
Brilliant BenJ: CAN U SHUT UP AND CONTINUE?
HAHAH of course i didnt say that.
Scenario 2
Pissful Piano: Why you didnt practise, very busy is it? Brilliant BenJ: Yah cause i go out most of the time.
Pissful Piano : What time you go out arh? Brilliant BenJ: Around afternoon to night
Pissful Piano: Go where? Go orchard road? Afternoon to night must be go orchard...
I expected her to say things like maybe you can practise in the morning or be more understanding and give constructive advice, but unfortunately no. She end up guessing where i go everyday and she thinks i'm a pathetic teenager who has nowhere to hangout but orchard road.
Ok, enough said about miss pissful piano. Let us put that behind with 2005.
So as i was saying, i was watching TV to countdown and can someone tell me why singapore doesnt have her own countdown programme? WHY?
Thank god for SCV, at least i got to watch Countdown party in Gao Xiong and Taipei.
singapore was really pathetic to show those louya old movies bought from other countries when people are airing countdown parties. I know most people are outside counting down but please remember there are still people like me at home watching TV.
The artistes from gaoxiong sing finish already go straight to Taipei to sing. Funny hor.
No wonder all the singaporean singers like linjunjie and ahdu and sunyanzi would rather go over to taiwan to sing. All i got from singapore was a 20 mintute programme who showed tanya chua and fannwong singing.
I think fann wong's really gorgeous. too bad she cannot speak english properly.
It's going to rain again. May all our sorrows and troubles be washed away with the rain and may 2006 be the best year yet for all of us. =]
