Ok, I've decided

Nothing's going to get me down. Every unpleasant thing that happened, shall *snaps fingers disappear! That's more like it. I can't be so moody everyday and when i'm moody i cant do anything.

Everyone has their own set of problems and what's more important is dealing with them and maturing in the process. For me, i've decided to leave everything behind and carry on.

WELCOME BACK BENJ!

Ya, thanks for welcoming me back to this place! I havent blogged properly for a long time and before you all think this place is shutting down and stop coming, it's not! I'm back! No more camps, no more trips so it's back to full time blogging...hahah! I wish.. I need to study but before that i need to pack my place.

So as i mentioned earlier on, i came back from a camp in Pulau Ubin.

It's a camp organised by the children's kidney centre in NUH. I was there as a buddy and i had a whole lot of fun i tell you! It's the most luxurious camp i have ever been in my life.

They let us stay in a 2 story chalet with air-conditioner, TV, fridge and even the table is filled with fooood! Waaaah. You tell me camp where got so good life leh? My chalet is bigger than my class chalet ! Hahahah!

All these material luxuries aside, the most important thing i've gained is seeing younger, braver souls overcome their obstacles and doing what most normal people can do too. For your information, there are children with kidney failure participating too.

Everytime i see their scars, the tubes in their stomach, their dialysis, it's an emotional battle for me. It pains to see children as young as 12 undergoing dialysis. They are bound to a foreign machine 10 hours a day in order to wash out the toxins from their body. Can you imagine? And they can only drink 500ml of water a day no matter how thirsty they are and no forgetting the large amounts of oral medication they have to take a day. That's too much for a kid to handle. Sometimes i wonder why is life so unfair?

But I have never ever heard them complain once. In fact, they are still cheerful, fun-loving and sociable. I enjoyed myself thoroughly with them, playing games, brainstorming for cheers and such. My problems seem so minuscule compared to theirs.

Other than that, I have also made very pleasant aquaintances and friends. I'm very blessed to meet such nice people who make memories so much more worth remembering.

Ok, time for pictures!

This is joseph, one of my group member. I'm very proud of him and very honoured to know him. He's undergoing dialysis very unfortunately. His very positive attitude is something which i admire about him.

Unfortunately, on the last day, i was down with a fever and sorethroat. My fever was quite bad, even the air i breathed out felt so warm. Arh, i just hope my sorethroat quickly heals so i can go kbox again.
