An evening @ Viriya Charity Carnival!

I think i accumulated lots of good karma today.

Band had a performance below UOB buiding, near fullerton hotel just now. We were playing for Viriya charity carnival. Remember Viriya? The one we helped earlier this year during O2.

Today's sunday and i'm back in school. What's this man. Now 5 day work week ok, i still going to school on sunday! Oh before that we went to Ya kun for high-tea and we went to watch Ming Xing Ou xiang again, a channel 8 talent search which i almost signed up if i hadnt found my guts.

Then we act rich, take taxi from junction 8 to school. And we delibrately waved to people on the way to hao lian abit. And guess who i saw in the band room.. B-jie ok! I saw b-jie! In her typical buy-in-bulk shirt and striped pants!

Ms C say she cannot appear here, so i cropped out the face. DONT guess who she is.

Then we sat bus to UOB building, near fullerton where we performed.

Performance was so-so because everything just came and go so quickly. And I think we were rather pathetic cause we needed to arrange our own chairs, bring our own stands..essentially DIY for everything. Our job was supposed to provide background music you see. (it was my first time playing to chairs and tables.)

But hor, the highlight of the evening was the cash vouchers which they gave us to purchase things in the fair! Although they didnt provide dinner or water for us, i still forgive them for the vouchers. $10 per booklet per person, not bad at all. At first i got 8 booklets cause i kiasu-ly grabbed all the booklets from ee jean's hand, but i ended up with one book cause i realise a lot of people dont have it and kindly gave them mine. Conclusion, I'm have a kind heart. Good Karma plus plus plus!

WE GOT VOUCHERS! WOOHOO!

Haha, siao.

There was a wide array of items at the carnival but most of the things are super mainland and only eunice/shuyi will buy. I heard they were selling shuyi's pseudo-addidas bag for $3 only! HaHAH, with all my vouchers can buy everyone bandmember a shuyi-mainland-bag.

They were selling plastic lillies for people to buy and release into the river. I wanted to do a bit
of charity but i realise that to release that fake lily into the so-called river (they limit the area where you can release the flower to a pathetic 5m by 5m space), you need to pay $10 cash! Wa lao. I bet they scoop the lily up immediately after you release so they can recycle. And they dont allow you to use the coupon, so i told that cheatabug aunty i didnt bring money.

Then we continued loitering around to find dinner and ended up buying 2 porridge 2 beehon, both vegetarian. Big mistake. They aunty still say her restaurant very famous sia. Call what grand court restaurant, you got hear before meh?! I ask my mother she also dont know.

The porridge looks like vomit from someone who swallowed too much chinese herbs.

Then we realised time's running out and we have quite a lot of money left. And i demonstrated the true-blue spirit of a singaporean. I zoomed to the last stall which is like a provision shop and i insitgated aaron along. With 3 booklets worth of money, i bought 3 big tins of milo and 1 small tin while aaron bought 24 packets of chrysanthamum tea. HAHA! I admit it's a bit paiseh when you walk out of a charity carnival dao bao xiao bao. And it's obasan-ish but what i'm doing is just being street smart and making full use of the coupons! I'm helping them clear their stock too and indirectly contributing to their charity funds. At least it's better than other people who threw away the extra coupons, totally wasted. Good karma plus plus plus, self- esteem and pride minus minus minus.

See my harvest. HAHA, i think my mother's happy cause she dont have to worry about milo stock for at least half a year wor.

After all those drama, it's time to go back.
